Please join us for breakfast and a free seminar on Friday 15th May on Making Tax Digital and Cybercrime – Preparing you and your business for the digital future.
The first stage of ‘Making Tax Digital’ (MTD) has now been written into our law. From April 2019, businesses with a turnover above the current VAT threshold of £85,000 will be required to keep digital records for VAT purposes.
VAT returns will need to be submitted to HMRC via an approved software. VAT returns will no longer be able to be entered manually via the Government Gateway.
It is expected that digital quarterly reporting for other taxes will be introduced from April 2020, although this has yet to be confirmed.
What does this mean to you and your Business?
Ward Goodman’s Lisa McIntosh will be there to give you an informed talk on MTD and to answer any questions you may have.
Alex Douglas, Barclays Digital Engagement Manager, will discuss Cybercrime, share insights, tips and next steps to ensure your business is digitally secure.
