Ward Goodman, the Dorset based firm of Chartered Accountants and Independent Financial Advisers, is delighted to count the family owned and run, Bindon Engineering, as one of its valued clients.
The Wareham based firm expanded to its modern 36,000 sq ft factory on a 3½ acre site at Holton Heath in 2009, allowing for a much increased production capacity, and currently employs over 70 staff who keep operations running 24 hours a day.
Liz McCormick, Client Service Manager at Ward Goodman, said, ‘We have been working with Bindon Engineering since 2004, and support the company by providing business consulting, quarterly management accounts, year-end accounts, corporation tax calculations, company secretarial documentation, statutory filing, and attending board meetings to discuss management accounts.’
Ian Lawrence, Production Director at Bindon Engineering, and the son of John Lawrence who established the company with John Reece in 1965, has recently added a valuable new piece of equipment to the factory floor.
Ian, explains, ‘The new Mazak machine is the first of the new generation of multiplexes in the UK. It has gantry loading and 24-hour operation. Together with the introduction of the Doosan Puma 4100 and Doosan Puma 3100Y turning machines and a Doosan horizontal NHP6300, our capacity has significantly increased.
‘We consider Ward Goodman to be a part of our team; helping us to make the right decisions, particularly when we are keeping a close eye on finances due to the growth of the business.’
